Luthando App

Academic Institutes

50% off for Academic Members.

Schools, preschools and crèches join Luthando App as Academic Institutes. Any Luthando member can register their institute — no appointed representative needed — and every learner who joins with its code becomes an Academic Member and pays half.

The 50% Academic Member discount is only available to learners at registered, verified African Academic Institutes.

How it works

Three steps. Real savings.

A member registers the institute

A parent, teacher or learner signs in and adds the institute with the short code it already uses — Luthando Primary Academy becomes LPA. Registering is free.

Share the institute code

You get a code that starts with your short code, like LPA-7K2Q. Pass it on — newsletter, WhatsApp group, a note in the homework book.

Academic Members pay half

From the moment it is registered, everyone who joins with the code pays R45/month instead of R90, and 50% less on every live lesson.

Who can join

From crèche to matric.

Luthando App extends what teachers start in the classroom — structured, curriculum-aware practice at home, in the languages your learners actually live in.

  • Crèches, day-care and ECD centres, preschools, primary and high schools, colleges
  • Early Childhood and Foundation Phase curriculum tracks
  • Eleven South African languages plus five international languages
  • Live classes with vetted educators — video built into the app
  • Parents see progress on their own dashboard — no admin for your staff
